  • Notice of Availability- Tentative Order No. R9-2008-0130 Waste Discharge Requirements for Existing Dairy Animal Feeding Operations in the San Diego Region

Tentative Order No. R9-2008-0130 prescribes waste discharge requirements for those existing dairies in the Region with NPDES permits being rescinded by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Diego Region (Regional Board) and for those other existing dairies in the Region, who request to be enrolled under this General Order. Interested persons will be given until December 4, 2008, to submit written comments on the tentative Waste Discharge Requirements. Written comments on this matter received after 5:00 P.M. on December 4, 2008 will not be considered by the Regional Board.

Written material should be submitted to the Regional Board’s office located at 9174 Sky Park Court, Suite 100, San Diego, California 92123. E-mail comments on this matter will be accepted and provided to the Regional Board as long as the total submittal (including attachments) does not exceed five printed pages in length and they are received by December 4, 2008.

Tentative Resolution No. R9-2008-0129 pertains to a Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration of potential environmental impacts from existing dairy animal feeding operations that could be regulated under General Order No. R9-2008-0130. The Tentative Resolution can be viewed here:

Interested persons will be given until December 4, 2008, to submit written comments on the tentative Tentative Resolution. Written comments on this matter received after 5:00 P.M. on December 4, 2008 will not be considered by the Regional Board.

  • Notice of Intent to adopt a Negative Declaration of potential environmental impacts from the discharge of recycled water for irrigation of a golf course. The discharge of wastes covered by the Negative Declaration includes the reuse of tertiary treated wastewater for irrigation purposes at the Skyline Ranch Country Club golf course. Skyline Ranch Country Club is located at 18218 Paradise Mountain Road in Valley Center, California.

Interested persons will be given until November 5, 2008, to submit written comments on the Negative Declaration. Written comments on this matter received after 5:00 P.M. on November 5, 2008 will not be considered by the Regional Board.
