PROPOSITION 40 URBAN STORMWATER GRANT PROGRAM
Proposition 40 Urban Stormwater Grant Program. This program was implemented as part of the 2005-06 Consolidated Grants Program.
The Public Resources Code requires that the intent of the Proposition 40 Urban Stormwater Grant Program grant funds be used to assist agencies with the planning for, and the implementation of, needed urban pollution runoff controls. The program shall provide grants for projects designed to implement stormwater runoff pollution reduction and prevention programs, including diversion of dry weather flows to publicly owned treatment works for treatment, acquisition, and development of constructed wetlands and the implementation of approved best management practices, as required by stormwater permits.

| Project Timelines: | Funds must be encumbered by December 31, 2006. Funds must be spent by December 31, 2008.* |
| Funding Available: | No longer accepting applications at this time. Additional funding from the Proposition 84 Stormwater Program will be made available at a future date. |
*Projects should be completed at least 3 months prior to the date funds must be spent. If you are considering applying for this program, keep in mind that your project should be completed by Fall 2008.
