Financial Assistance Programs - Grants and Loans
IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS
The Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Implementation Grants Program, funded by Proposition 50, Chapter 8, will provide approximately $58 million during Round 2. IRWM Implementation Grants will fund projects that meet one or more of the program objectives of protecting communities from drought, protecting and improving water quality, and improving local water security by reducing dependence on imported water. Implementation Grant proposals must be based on a qualified IRWM Plan.
Funding for the IRWM Program is administered jointly between the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) and the Department of Water Resources (DWR). A two-step process will be used to evaluate the Implementation Grant proposals for Round 2.
