Nitrate Treatment Technology Workshop

On September 4-5, The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the Department of Public Health (DPH) conducted a joint Nitrate Treatment Technology Workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to inform the public and interested parties about technologies that have the potential to remove nitrates from groundwater to meet drinking water standards. Several speakers kicked off the event. They include State Water Resources Control Board Vice-Chair Francis Spivy-Weber, California Department of Public Health Deputy Director for Environmental Health, Mark Starr, and State Water Boards Senior Engineering Geologist John Borkovich (in order of appearance on slide show).
