Proposed Amendment to Time Schedule Order No. R6V-2009-0016-A1

Overview

The Water Board will hold a public hearing on May 13, 2014, 9:00 a.m. at the offices of the Lahontan Water Board, located at 14440 Civic Drive, Suite 200, Victorville, California, 92392, to consider a proposed amendment to Time Schedule Order (TSO) No. R6V-2009-0016-A1, issued to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for its Hot Creek Hatchery located in Mammoth Lakes, California. The public hearing will be limited to the Executive Officer’s review of the comments received at the close of the public comment period, unless any person requests that the Executive Officer conduct an evidentiary hearing in which case the Executive Officer will issue more specific hearing procedures and hold the hearing in a formal open setting.

The proposed amendment extends the compliance date and reduces the required monitoring of the TSO. Water Board staff has determined it is appropriate to modify the TSO in order to allow Water Board staff additional time to evaluate the water quality monitoring data collected since the TSO was initially adopted. Water Board staff will evaluate the data for the purpose of re-establishing effluent limits for the Hot Creek Hatchery facility and water quality objectives for Hot Creek. The proposed amendment does not change effluent or flow limitations of the existing TSO.

A thirty-day comment period for the proposed amendment begins on Friday, April 11, 2014 and will close on Monday, May 12, 2014. Please submit comments to:
