Administrative Civil Liability - Adelanto Public Utility Authority
On April 4, 2008, the Water Board's Assistant Executive Officer issued Administrative Civil Liability Complaint No. R6V-2008-0012 recommending a $15,000 assessment of civil liability to the Adelanto Public Utility Authority. The Complaint alleges that this party violated the Water Board’s Cease and Desist Order (CDO) No. R6V-2007-0024 by submitting the first CDO-required quarterly status report 23 days late.
On May 9, 2008, the Water Board's Prosecution Team agreed to settle the Complaint for $6,500, and received a signed Waiver of Hearing Form from the Adelanto Public Utility Authority. These actions constitute a proposed settlement of the Complaint.
The public hearing previously scheduled for the Water Board's June 11-12, 2008 meeting is canceled.
The Water Board will be initiating a 30-day public comment period for the proposed settlement. A notice regarding the public comment period will be posted on this web site and published in a local newspaper. The Water Board will then consider accepting the proposed settlement during its September 10-11, 2008 meeting in Victorville.
