Draft Central Valley Existing Conditions Report

Comment deadline extended to 5:00 PM, 26 May 2006.
Under contract with the Central Valley Water Board, Jones and Stokes Associates prepared the draft Central Valley Existing Conditions Report (ECR), which is available for a public comment period. This report is a major first step towards describing the existing regulatory setting, surface and groundwater conditions, and management practices within the Central Valley Region, and it will serve as a foundation to develop alternatives for a long-term water quality regulatory program to address discharges from irrigated agriculture. Seven public outreach meetings are scheduled between 13 and 22 March, and written comments are due by 17 April 2006. The attached Public Meeting Notice contains details about the public meetings and where to send written comments.
