Basin Planning - Water Quality Objectives for Ammonia

Evaluation of the need to add or revise water quality objectives for ammonia to the Water Quality Control Plan from the Sacramento River and San Joaquin River Basins and the Water Quality Control Plan for the Tulare Lake Basin (Basin Plans). Addition or revision of water quality objectives to the Basin Plans requires formal amendment in accordance with Water Code section 13240 et. seq. Basin Plan amendments must be adopted by the Central Valley Water Board and approved by the State Water Board, Office of Administrative Law and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency before becoming effective.
